Lupis is a male wolf who is the current prince heir of the Kingdom of the West. He was formerly the head tracker of The Pack of Night.
After Rune reveals himself to be the father of Lupis, and is then killed by Marra, Kia pledges herself to Lupis, becoming his Par'Sherra.
Appearance[]
Lupis is a dark, smoky-gray wolf with yellow-amber eyes. He wears the feathers of both of his parents, a blue jay's feather and a red mandarin duck's feather on his chest.
Personality[]
- As a pup, Lupis was reasonably quiet and placid, even after his traumatic flight from the Kingdom. However, he took his mother, Mink's last words to heart and never told anyone who he was, revealing a familial devotion and potential for deceit. Despite his hidden identity, he became fast friends with Luna, and their friendship withstood the tests of time, growing stronger in the duration of the one year time skip.
- After one year of living in the Pack of Night, Lupis has become a popular, respected wolf. He seems to maintain an awkward, on-and-off relationship with Luna while simultaneously fending off Midnight's advances. However, Lupis lacks Luna's penchant for rebelliousness, and is much more complacent with Fang and Bone's dominating command than she is. He is steadfast and loyal to both her and the Pack, and still finds ways to have fun, regardless of his painful past.

- Lupis, as a pup, is found by Luna on the territory of the Pack of Night, apparently not knowing where he came or how he got there. Luna eventually takes Lupis to the pack, where he is accepted by Fang. He becomes fast friends with Luna.
- Lupis lives in the pack, protected by Fang's promise that he would be safe there.[4] When he meets Marra who came from the Kingdom of the West to see what Fang's meeting was about, he begins to remember where he came from as a pup.[5] Lupis remembers that he is the last son of Mink and Balder, the oldest prince from the Kingdom. He remembers watching Rune and his followers kill his family as a pup.[6][7]
- After Fang's meeting, Lupis is recruited to the Kingdom of the West by Rune and leaves with him. Along the way, he is prompted by Marra to engage in a duel against Rune, to which he reluctantly accepts. With no hope that he will win, he gives in, but Rune does not kill him. Confused, he yells that he is the last son of Balder, and that he has no chance. Rune responds, asking him if he is sure that he is Balder's son, and claiming to be his father.[8]
- Lupis listens to Rune tell him the story of how he and Mink supposedly had an affair while she was still mates with Balder.[2] He tells Lupis about his actual siblings, and Lupis believes him. He agrees to come to the Kingdom with Rune, and rule alongside him.[2]
- After Rune is killed by Marra, Kia pledges herself to him, because he is Rune's son.

- Lupis would be about 14-20 years old in wolf years.[9]
- Lupis was the smallest pup in his family.

- He was mistakenly shown with light gray fur and green eyes. This was later revealed to be an accident caused by the green-screen. [10]
